ISO 9001 · CE · Manufacturer since 1999
Product Description
The V-2NF is a 2000 WOG ball valve — a two-piece, full-port stainless steel valve rated 2000 psi cold working pressure for water, oil and compressed air, twice the rating of a standard 1000 WOG two-piece valve. The body, cap and ball are cast in ASTM A351 CF8M, the cast form of 316 stainless steel; a CF8 (cast 304) version is made to order. The full-port bore matches the pipe inside diameter, so the open valve does not restrict flow.
Female PT threads are in stock in every size — 1/4″, 3/8″, 1/2″, 3/4″, 1″, 1-1/4″, 1-1/2″ and 2″; NPT and PF threads are made to order. Every size carries a drilled mounting pad on the body, so a pneumatic or electric actuator can be fitted directly later without changing the valve. Working temperature is −20 °C to +180 °C.

Advantages & Benefits
- Double the pressure rating: 2000 WOG gives headroom on pump discharge, compressed-air receivers and pressurized water lines that push a standard 1000 WOG valve to its limit.
- Full port, published Cv: the bore matches the pipe inside diameter, and the flow coefficient for each size is listed in the specification table and on the V-2NF dimension sheet (PDF) — no guessing at pressure drop.
- Actuator-ready: the drilled mounting pad lets you bolt on a pneumatic or electric actuator later — see our air actuated ball valve for the automated option.
- 316 corrosion resistance: CF8M body with added molybdenum resists pitting from chloride-bearing media.
Applications
A 2000 WOG two-piece valve is specified where a standard 1000 WOG valve would be running at its limit. Typical places it goes:
- Industrial process piping: water, oil and compatible fluids up to 2000 psi non-shock at ambient temperature, across general industrial plants.
- Compressed air and pneumatic systems: isolation and shut-off on air receivers, headers and branch lines.
- Instrumentation and OEM equipment: shut-off valves on instrument lines and on machine builders’ skids that need a compact threaded valve with a 2000 psi margin.
- Pump stations and booster systems: pump discharge and water treatment distribution points where pressure runs or spikes well past a standard valve’s rating.
- Chemical processing: shut-off on compatible chemicals and process oils in chemical plants — the CF8M body handles chloride-bearing media.
- Pressure washing and cleaning equipment: discharge and isolation valves on residential-to-light-commercial pressure washers working within the 2000 psi rating.
Not for natural gas or LPG service (those lines need a CSA/UL-listed gas valve), steam, or hydraulic power circuits — hydraulic-grade ball valves start at 3000 psi.
FAQ
What does 2000 WOG mean? WOG stands for Water, Oil, Gas — the media the rating covers. 2000 WOG means the valve is rated for 2000 psi cold working pressure at room temperature, non-shock, twice the 1000 WOG rating of a standard two-piece ball valve. “Gas” here means compressed air and inert gases; fuel gas such as natural gas or LPG needs a CSA/UL-listed gas valve.
When do I need 2000 WOG instead of 1000 WOG? When the line pressure or its spikes approach 1000 psi — pump discharge, pressurized water systems and compressed-air receivers are the usual cases. For general plumbing and process lines, our standard two-piece ball valve at 1000 WOG is usually enough.
Is it full port? Yes. The bore matches the pipe inside diameter — the bore for each size is listed on the dimension sheet — so the open valve adds almost no flow restriction.
Which thread standards are available? Female PT (taper) threads are in stock, sizes 1/4″–2″. NPT and PF threads are made to order — tell us which standard your piping uses when you request a quote.
What is the working temperature range? −20 °C to +180 °C with the standard PTFE seats. The valve is not rated for steam service.
Should I choose 304 or 316 stainless steel? The stock version is cast 316 (CF8M), whose molybdenum resists pitting from chlorides — the safer default for outdoor, coastal and chemical service. A cast 304 (CF8) version is made to order for milder media.
What is the minimum order? No minimum order quantity — we accept orders of any size, including small trial orders. For small orders, freight is arranged and paid by the buyer. Payment is by T/T — 30% on order confirmation, 70% before shipment.
