Product Description
A sanitary 3 way ball valve, manual. 316 stainless, polished, with Tri-Clamp or American OD-tube butt weld ends, 1/2″ to 2″, rated 1000 WOG. Turn the lever and the flow goes somewhere else — no air line, no wiring, no PLC.
Two things decide whether this valve works for you, and both of them are decisions you make when you order, not afterwards. L-port or T-port, and which seat. Get either one wrong and the valve is scrap. Both are below.
L-Port or T-Port? This Is Where People Buy the Wrong Valve
They look identical from the outside. Inside, the hole through the ball is a different shape, and they do completely different jobs.

The Seat Decides Your Temperature Limit
The seat is PTFE either way. What changes is how much of the ball it wraps.

This is a real trade-off, not a marketing choice. If you are running product that must not be trapped, take the encapsulated seat and live with 70°C. If your line runs hot, take the semi-encapsulated seat. Tell us the medium and the temperature and we will tell you which one you need — we are not going to sell you a seat that fails in six months.

Manual Only — If You Want It Automated, Buy the Other One
This valve is built to be turned by hand. It has no actuator mounting pad, so you cannot bolt an air actuator onto it later.
If you need the valve to divert on a signal from a PLC, buy the sanitary pneumatic 3-way ball valve instead — same valve, same L/T port choice, with a rack-and-pinion air actuator on top. Better to know now than after the valve arrives.
Cleaning It
Undo the clamps and the valve comes off the line. Undo the body bolts and it comes apart in your hands — ball out, seats out, everything you need to inspect and swab. Nothing needs cutting, and nothing needs a special tool.
The encapsulated seat is the one that matters here: by filling the dead space around the ball, it leaves the bore smooth, with no crevice for product to lodge in and no pocket for a swab to miss.
Where It Belongs
- Beverage lines — switching between fillers, or between product and the return loop.
- Dairy and food processing — diverting between tanks, or combining two feeds into one line.
- Pilot plant and small batch — where an operator is standing right there and a lever beats a solenoid.
- Sampling manifolds — one turn takes product to the sample port instead of the line.

L-port or T-port — which one do I need?
L-port diverts: it sends the inlet to one outlet or the other. T-port mixes or distributes: it can feed two ports at once. If you are switching a line between two destinations, you want L-port. If you are combining two streams, or splitting one into two at the same time, you want T-port. Describe what the valve has to do and we will tell you which one.
What is the maximum temperature?
It depends on the seat. The encapsulated seat runs −20°C to 70°C. The semi-encapsulated seat runs −20°C to 180°C. Tell us the temperature of your line and we will fit the right one.
Which seat should I choose?
Encapsulated if product must not sit in a crevice — the PTFE fills the dead space around the ball, so the bore stays smooth. Semi-encapsulated if the line runs above 70°C. It is a genuine trade-off between temperature and dead space, and we will help you pick.
Can I add an actuator later?
No. This valve has no actuator mounting pad. If you need it automated, buy the sanitary pneumatic 3-way ball valve instead — same valve, same L/T port choice, with an air actuator fitted.

Sample Policy
We are happy to provide product samples for customers to evaluate quality or conduct testing. The process typically begins with a quotation based on the customer’s specifications.
If the pricing is acceptable, we can offer samples either free of charge or at a cost depending on the product type and availability.
Shipping fees are borne by the customer.
Order Process
After confirming the product requirements and other details with the customer, we will issue a Sales Confirmation for approval. Once confirmed, the customer is required to pay a 30% deposit to proceed with production.
When mass production is completed and the goods pass inspection, the customer must pay the remaining 70% balance before shipment is arranged.

Our quotations are typically based on FOB terms. However, we can also offer CFR, CIF, or other Incoterms upon request.

We have no MOQ. We operate on a made-to-order basis and accept orders of any size — trial orders are welcome. For smaller orders, freight is arranged and borne by the buyer.

By T/T – 30% down payment upon order confirmation, and 70% balance before shipment.
