Product Summary
The YZNG TRONG camlock ball valve is a two-piece, full-port ball valve in ASTM 316 stainless
steel, with a male cam-and-groove (camlock) adapter on one end and a threaded connection on the
other. It is rated 1000 WOG and available in 1/2″ to 2″ with a PTFE seat. Two end configurations
are made: female thread × male camlock adapter (Type A style) and male thread × male camlock
adapter (Type F style). Threads are made to order in PT, NPT or PF. The valve snaps into any
standard camlock coupler without tools, so the shut-off sits at the hose connection itself.

When to Choose a Camlock Ball Valve
- Choose it when a hose has to be connected and disconnected often, and you want the shut-off
right at the connection instead of further up the line. - Choose female thread × camlock (Type A) for pump outlets and tank nozzles.
- Choose male thread × camlock (Type F) for inline hose ends and pipe stubs.
- Do not choose it for permanently welded piping – use a
two-piece welded ball valve
instead. For threaded process piping, see the
male × female threaded ball valve.
Advantages & Benefits
- Tool-free connection: snaps into any standard camlock coupler in seconds – no wrenches, no
thread sealing on the hose side. - Shut-off at the hose: the coupling and the valve are one body, so flow stops right at the
connection point. - Two thread options: female thread for pump and tank outlets, male thread for inline hose
and pipe ends. - 316 corrosion resistance: the added molybdenum in 316 resists chloride pitting, which is
what attacks 304 in brine, seawater and many chemical transfer duties.
Applications
- Tank trucks and container tanks: loading and offloading at the hose connection.
- Chemical and solvent drums: controlled decanting with a shut-off at the drum.
- Food and beverage hose stations: fast hose changeover between transfers.
- Irrigation and site water: quick-connect shut-off on temporary hose runs.
FAQ
What is a camlock ball valve used for? It puts a shut-off valve directly on a hose or tank
connection, so a transfer line can be stopped and disconnected at the same point without tools.
What is the difference between Type A and Type F? Type A style has a female thread on the
valve end; Type F style has a male thread. Both carry the same male camlock adapter on the other
end.
Which thread standards can you supply? PT, NPT and PF threads are all made to order.
Specify the thread standard with your enquiry.
Does it fit standard camlock couplers? Yes – the male adapter end mates with standard cam
and groove couplers.
What does 1000 WOG mean? The valve is rated for 1000 psi of non-shock cold working
pressure on water, oil or gas.
Why is this valve only offered in 316 stainless steel, not 304? Camlock valves are used for
transfer duties that often involve chlorides – brine, seawater, many chemicals. The molybdenum in
316 resists chloride pitting, which is the failure mode that attacks 304 in these services.
