Nome del prodotto

Ball Valve with Actuator — Pneumatic 3-Piece 316, ISO 5211 Direct Mount, 1000 WOG (V-3AM)

SKU: V-3AM

Riepilogo del prodotto

A ball valve with actuator: a 3-piece full port stainless steel body with a rack-and-pinion pneumatic actuator, direct-mounted via ISO 5211. Sizes 3/8″ to 4″, 1000 WOG, PTFE seats, valve body rated -20 °C to +180 °C. 316 stainless steel in stock; 304 made to order.

Two things to tell us when you ask: DA or SR — double acting for general on/off duty, spring return where the line must fail to a safe position if the air supply is lost; and your end connection — threaded (PT, NPT, PF, all in stock), socket weld or butt weld.

Descrizione del prodotto

This is a ball valve with actuator — a 3-piece stainless steel valve with a pneumatic actuator mounted directly on it — built to solve the headache of servicing welded or threaded automated lines. By removing the body bolts, the central valve section (with the actuator still attached) can be removed or swung out for inspection. That matters most where seals wear out from high cycle rates, or where a line has to be opened and put back the same shift.

The valve is a 3-piece full port stainless steel ball valve with an ISO 5211 mounting pad, driven by a rack-and-pinion aluminum alloy pneumatic actuator in Double Acting (DA) or Spring Return (SR) versions. The ISO 5211 pad is part of the valve body, so the actuator bolts straight down onto it — there is no separate bracket and coupling kit to source and align. 316 stainless steel is in stock; 304 is made to order. For how pneumatic automation fits stainless valve lines, see our pneumatic valve automation guide.

Why a 3-Piece Body Is Right for a Ball Valve with Actuator

  • Lowest maintenance cost: seals can be replaced without demounting the actuator or cutting the assembly out of the pipe.
  • High-cycle durability: automated lines open and close far more often than manual ones — the serviceable body keeps that from becoming a replacement cost.
  • Weld-in without cooking the actuator: with weld ends, the body can be welded into the line first and the actuator mounted after, protecting pneumatic components from heat.
  • Blow-out proof stem and live-loaded PTFE seats on the valve section.

Campi di applicazione

  • Chemical and petrochemical processing: transfer, dosing and reactor feed lines carrying acids, alkalis and solvents — lines that have to be opened and closed from a control room rather than by hand.
  • Chemical injection on oil and gas surface facilities: corrosion inhibitor, biocide and demulsifier injection points, often at unmanned sites. A spring return actuator drives the valve to its safe position when the air supply is lost.
  • Water and wastewater treatment: coagulant, polymer and caustic soda dosing manifolds, where the dose rate follows water quality and the seats need cleaning on a schedule.
  • Pulp and paper: isolation on chlorine dioxide bleaching and caustic lines, where a fast quarter-turn shut-off is part of the safety case.
  • Plant utilities: low-pressure steam, condensate, cooling water, compressed air and nitrogen isolation, within the -20 °C to +180 °C body rating.
  • Tank farms and loading stations: solvent, acid and alkali storage lines, interlocked with level switches so the valve closes on high level.

Domande frequenti

Does the ball valve come with the actuator already fitted? Yes. The actuator is mounted on the valve at our factory and the two ship together as one unit, so there is no bracket or coupling to source and align on your side. Tell us DA or SR and the end connection you need when you request a quote.

Double Acting (DA) or Spring Return (SR) — which should I choose? A DA actuator uses air pressure to both open and close the valve. An SR actuator uses a spring to drive the valve to a preset fail-safe position (open or closed) if air supply is lost. Choose SR where a line must fail safe; choose DA for general on/off duty.

Can I replace the seats without cutting the valve out of the line? Yes. Remove the body bolts and the central section swings out with the actuator still mounted — seats and seals can be serviced in place, then the body is re-assembled.

What air supply does the actuator need? 4 to 8 bar (about 58 to 116 psi) of clean, dry compressed air.

What does ISO 5211 mean? ISO 5211 is the standard for actuator mounting pads. The valve carries an F03–F10 pad depending on size (the size-to-pad chart is in the dimension PDFs at the top of this page), so the actuator mounts directly — no bracket — and can be swapped for another ISO 5211 actuator later.

Which end connections are available? Threaded ends in PT, NPT and PF — all in stock — plus socket weld and butt weld. For the JIS-standard butt weld automated valve, see our actuated butt weld ball valve pagina.

What is the temperature rating? The valve body is rated -20 °C to +180 °C (-4 °F to +356 °F), limited by the PTFE seats. The actuator is rated -20 °C to +80 °C, so the combination is limited by whichever part is reached first — tell us your service temperature when you request a quote and we will confirm it.
