Product Summary

A 316 stainless pneumatic 3-way vacuum ball valve — a rack-and-pinion air actuator (double-acting or spring-return, 4–8 bar) rotates the ball to divert one vacuum pump between chambers or vent a line. NW (KF) vacuum flanges in NW40 (1-1/2″) and NW50 (2″), L-port or T-port, PTFE seats, -20 °C to +180 °C. Polished CF8M body, ISO 5211 direct mount.

Product Description

This pneumatic 3-way vacuum ball valve automates the switching of a vacuum line. A rack-and-pinion air actuator rotates the ball a quarter turn on a signal from your PLC or solenoid, diverting one vacuum pump between chambers, or venting a line — no one has to stand at the valve. The body is cast 316 stainless steel (ASTM A351 CF8M) with a polished surface and PTFE seats, on NW (KF) vacuum flanges in NW40 (1-1/2″) and NW50 (2″).

The ball is available L-port or T-port — L-port connects one outlet at a time, T-port can connect two outlets together or merge flow. Prefer to switch it by hand? See the manual 3-way vacuum valve. For straight (2-way) vacuum lines, see the NW50 pneumatic vacuum ball valve or the larger ISO-K DN80/DN100 pneumatic vacuum valve, or browse all vacuum valves.

L-Port or T-Port?

L-port T-port
Flow Connects the inlet to one outlet at a time Connects two outlets, or merges flow between all three ports
Use for Selecting between two chambers — one pump, one chamber at a time Combining lines, or diverting while keeping a second path open

Both are available in NW40 and NW50 — tell us which port pattern you need when you request a quote.

Application Fields & Locations

  • Automated lab vacuum stations: switch one pump between chambers under PLC control.
  • Composite & vacuum-bag molding: sequence vacuum across moulds without manual valves.
  • Vacuum pump sequencing: divert a single pump across process steps automatically.
  • Semiconductor & coating support lines: 316 stainless, polished, clamp-flanged KF piping.

FAQ

What is the difference between L-port and T-port? L-port connects the inlet to one outlet at a time — a selector. T-port can connect two outlets together or merge flow between all three ports. Tell us which pattern you need when you order.

Double-acting or spring-return — which should I choose? Double-acting (DA) uses air for both strokes and stays in its last position if air is lost. Spring-return (SR) uses springs for the return stroke, so on air loss the springs drive the valve to its preset position — useful for protecting a vacuum line.

Can I add a solenoid valve or limit switch? Yes. The actuator accepts a solenoid valve for control, a limit switch box for position feedback, and a positioner for modulating service — tell us your control setup when you request a quote.

Which sizes and flanges are available? NW40 (1-1/2″) and NW50 (2″), both on NW (KF) vacuum flanges. For larger ISO-K lines, see the ISO-K DN80/DN100 pneumatic vacuum valve.

What is the operating temperature? -20 °C to +180 °C, set by the PTFE seats. Body and ball are cast 316 stainless steel with a polished surface.

What is the minimum order? No minimum order quantity — we accept orders of any size, including small trial orders. For small orders, freight is arranged and paid by the buyer. Payment is by T/T — 30% on order confirmation, 70% before shipment.
