Product Summary

Stainless steel pneumatic ball valve, supplied as one assembly. The V-2AM two-piece valve carries a cast-in ISO 5211 pad, so the rack-and-pinion air actuator bolts straight on with no bracket or coupling to make. Double-acting (DA) or spring-return (SR), air supply 4–8 bar; a quarter-turn opens or closes the line in under a second.

316 CF8M · 1000 WOG · full port on every size · PTFE seats · PT threads in stock, NPT and PF made to order · 3/8″–4″ · −20 °C to +180 °C

ISO 9001 · CE · Manufacturer since 1999 · Made in Taiwan

Product Description

A stainless steel pneumatic ball valve built as one unit: the V-2AM two-piece valve with a rack-and-pinion air actuator bolted straight onto its cast-in ISO 5211 pad, double-acting (DA) or spring-return (SR). Body, cap and ball are cast 316 stainless steel (ASTM A351 CF8M), full port on every size, rated 1000 WOG, with PTFE seats. A quarter-turn of the actuator opens or closes the line in under a second.

Because the ISO 5211 pad is cast into the valve, there is no bracket and no coupling to fabricate — the valve and actuator arrive as one assembly, ready to pipe in. Female PT threads are in stock, sizes 3/8″ to 4″ (DN10 – DN100); NPT and PF can be made to order. Need more end options like socket weld or butt weld? See the 3-piece air actuated ball valve. Prefer a hand lever? See the manual two-piece ball valve, or browse all pneumatic ball valves.

Ball Valve with Pneumatic Actuator: Double-Acting or Spring-Return?

Double-acting (DA) Spring-return (SR)
How it moves Air pressure drives the valve both open and closed Air drives one way; springs drive the return stroke
If air is lost Valve stays where it was Springs move the valve to its preset open or closed position
Best for General automated on/off duty Lines that must land in a defined position when air supply drops

Options Solenoid valve, limit switch box, positioner (for modulating service)

Applications

  • Water & wastewater treatment — on/off isolation at chemical dosing manifolds and skid-mounted filtration units, where the valve is cycled by the plant PLC rather than by hand.
  • Chemical processing — tank-farm and reactor feed-line isolation driven from the control system, with 316 stainless for corrosion resistance.
  • OEM skid builders — compression, metering and vapor-recovery skids that need a compact valve-plus-actuator unit; spring-return gives a defined fail position when air is lost.
  • Compressed air distribution — isolating compressor packages and switching air lines on a schedule, where a quarter-turn actuated valve replaces a manually operated one.

FAQ

Double-acting or spring-return — which should I choose? Double-acting (DA) uses air for both strokes and stays in its last position if air is lost. Spring-return (SR) uses springs for the return stroke, so on air loss the springs move the valve to its preset open or closed position — specify which when you order.

Can I add a solenoid valve or limit switch? Yes. The actuator accepts a solenoid valve for electrical control, a limit switch box for position feedback, and a positioner for modulating service — tell us your control setup when you request a quote.

2-piece or 3-piece pneumatic — which should I choose? The 2-piece is the compact, economical choice for threaded lines. Choose the 3-piece air actuated ball valve when you need socket-weld or butt-weld ends, or want to service the seats without cutting the valve out of the line.

Is it full port? Yes — every size. The bore matches the pipe inside diameter (bore sizes are on the V-2AM dimension sheet PDF above), so the open valve adds almost no flow restriction.

Which thread standards are available? Female PT threads are in stock, sizes 3/8″–4″. NPT and PF can be made to order — tell us which standard your piping uses when you request a quote.

What is the minimum order? No minimum order quantity — we accept orders of any size, including small trial orders. For small orders, freight is arranged and paid by the buyer. Payment is by T/T — 30% on order confirmation, 70% before shipment.
