Product Description
A 90° angle ball valve in 316 stainless steel — a two-piece body with the right-angle turn built into the valve itself. The outlet points down, so it draws off a tank, a drum or a pump without a separate elbow fitting bolted on after it.
1000 WOG, full port, PTFE seats, PT taper thread, 1/2″ to 2″. Quarter-turn lever.
Where It Belongs
- Tank and vessel bottom outlets — the classic use. The valve screws into the bottom of the tank and the flow turns down through the valve itself, so the tank sits lower and there is one fewer joint under it to leak.
- Drain and sampling taps — draw off a sample or drain the vessel with a quarter turn. Full port means nothing is trapped in a narrowed bore between draws.
- Drum and pump draw-off — the same job on a smaller scale.
Why the Angle Is Built In
The alternative is a straight ball valve plus a 90° elbow screwed onto its outlet. That works, but it costs you three things:

Lock It Open, or Lock It Shut
Ask for the locking plate and the lever takes a padlock. Once the valve is where you want it, nobody moves it without the key.
Plants that drain hazardous or high-value liquid usually want this on the tank outlet — a valve that gets knocked open by accident is a spill, and a valve that gets closed by accident during a transfer is a pump running dry. It is an option, not standard, so say so when you enquire.

FAQ
Why buy a 90° angle ball valve instead of a straight valve plus an elbow?
Because the turn is inside the casting. A straight valve with an elbow screwed onto it gives you two threaded joints under the tank instead of one, hangs lower so the tank has to sit higher, and leaves liquid standing in the elbow between draws. The angle valve solves all three.
What thread does it use?
PT (taper) thread.
What sizes do you make?

Is it full port?
Yes. The bore is not narrowed through the turn, so less liquid is left behind between draws and the valve drains a vessel faster.
What is the pressure rating?
1000 WOG.
What material is it?

Can the valve be locked?
Yes, with the optional locking plate — it takes a padlock, so the lever can be locked open or locked shut. It is not fitted as standard, so ask for it when you enquire.

Sample Policy
We are happy to provide product samples for customers to evaluate quality or conduct testing. The process typically begins with a quotation based on the customer’s specifications.
If the pricing is acceptable, we can offer samples either free of charge or at a cost depending on the product type and availability.
Shipping fees are borne by the customer.
Order Process
After confirming the product requirements and other details with the customer, we will issue a Sales Confirmation for approval. Once confirmed, the customer is required to pay a 30% deposit to proceed with production.
When mass production is completed and the goods pass inspection, the customer must pay the remaining 70% balance before shipment is arranged.
