A standard lever handle needs a wide arc of clearance to swing through its 90° travel — clearance that valves in instrumentation panels, cabinets, and closely spaced manifolds simply don’t have. This ball valve T-handle, known in the trade as a バタフライハンドル, replaces the lever with a compact wing grip that sits right on the valve stem: grip the wings, turn, done.
It is made from 304 stainless steel and suits smaller valves (1/4″ to 1″) where high torque leverage is not required.
