To automate a ball valve, the actuator’s output has to line up with the valve stem — squarely, with no play, and able to pass full torque. This valve actuator mounting kit is the part that makes that connection: a mounting bracket (the bridge) plus a stem coupler (the linkage), both in 304 stainless steel, built to the ISO 5211 interface.
Because the bracket follows the ISO 5211 standard, it pairs an ISO-standard pneumatic or electric actuator to the valve. The linkage that couples the stems is then matched to your specific valve and actuator sizes — tell us both when you order.
Two Jobs This Kit Does
This actuator mounting kit earns its place on two different jobs:
- Adaptation : connects an ISO 5211 actuator to a valve — including manual valves you want to automate, or a valve and actuator that don’t share a native mounting pattern.
- Heat stand-off: on steam and other hot lines, the bracket sets the actuator back from the valve body, opening an air gap that keeps heat away from the actuator’s seals and electronics.

What does an actuator mounting kit do?
It connects an actuator to a valve. The bracket bolts the actuator over the valve to the ISO 5211 pattern, and the linkage (a stem coupler) carries the actuator’s turning force to the valve stem.
Do I need a mounting kit, or can the actuator mount directly?
If the valve already has an ISO 5211 pad that matches the actuator’s flange and drive, the actuator can mount directly. You need the bracket and stem coupler when the two mounting patterns don’t match, when you are automating a manual valve, or when you want the actuator set back from a hot valve body.
Can it automate a manual valve?
Yes — that is one of its main uses. The kit lets you mount an actuator onto a manual valve you already have, so you can automate it without replacing the valve.
How does it protect the actuator on hot lines?
On steam and other high-temperature lines, the bracket sets the actuator back from the valve body. That gap gives the actuator extra air cooling and keeps it further from the heat reaching its seals and electronics.
