The YS-BD is our 316 stainless steel Y strainer with a blowdown valve: instead of the standard blow-off plug, a quarter-turn ball valve sits on the drain port. Open it for a moment and line pressure flushes the trapped debris straight out through the drain — no wrench, no opening the cap, and filtration continues the second you close it.
The strainer body is rated 800 WOG with a SUS 316 screen in 20, 60 or 100 mesh (20 mesh is the standard we ship). Female PT threads are in stock, sizes 1/4″ to 3″; NPT and PF can be made to order. Prefer the simple plug version? See the standard 316 Y strainer, or browse the Y strainer category.

- Pump suction lines — purge trapped debris while the pump keeps running.
- Water and utility lines carrying sand or grit — ahead of meters and pumps.
- Chemical and petroleum process lines — heavier debris loads between shutdowns.
- HVAC chilled-water and condenser-water loops — flush in season without draining the risers.
- Low-pressure saturated steam auxiliary lines (up to 180 °C) — protect traps and control valves, blow down without an outage.
- Raw-water and well-water intake lines — catch sand before it reaches downstream equipment.
- Utility water with light sediment or scale — where opening the cap to clean is impractical.

Häufig gestellte Fragen
How is this different from a standard Y strainer? The body and screen are the same — the difference is the drain. A standard Y strainer has a threaded blow-off plug you remove with a wrench; the YS-BD has a quarter-turn ball valve there instead, so you can flush the screen by hand in seconds. Can I flush the strainer without opening the cap? Yes — that is the point of the blowdown valve. Open it briefly and line pressure pushes the trapped debris out through the drain; close it and filtration continues. The cap only needs to come off for screen inspection or replacement.
Welches Maschenmaß soll ich wählen – 20, 60 oder 100? 20 mesh is the coarse, general-purpose screen and the default we ship. 60 mesh catches finer sediment ahead of meters and nozzles. 100 mesh is for fine particles ahead of control valves and instrumentation. All three are in stock.
Welche Gewindenormen gibt es? Female PT threads are in stock, sizes 1/4″–3″. NPT and PF can be made to order — tell us which standard your piping uses when you request a quote.

Bestellvorgang
Nachdem wir die Produktanforderungen und andere Details mit dem Kunden abgestimmt haben, stellen wir eine Verkaufsbestätigung zur Genehmigung aus. Nach der Bestätigung muss der Kunde eine 30%-Anzahlung leisten, um mit der Produktion fortzufahren.
Wenn die Massenproduktion abgeschlossen ist und die Waren die Inspektion bestehen, muss der Kunde den Restbetrag 70% bezahlen, bevor der Versand veranlasst wird.
