A stainless steel Y strainer (wye strainer) in 316, rated 800 WOG, PT threaded, sizes 1/4″ to 3″. The SUS 316 screen comes in 20, 60 or 100 mesh — all in stock, shipped with 20 mesh as standard — to catch pipeline debris before it reaches your pumps, meters and control valves. Body and bonnet in CF8M (cast form of 316 stainless steel); CF8 (cast 304) made to order. PTFE gasket and O-ring, -20 °C to +180 °C. A blow-off plug lets you flush trapped debris without removing the screen. NPT and PF threads made to order.

The Y strainer – also spelled wye strainer – is the first line of defense for your pipeline equipment. This 316 stainless steel y type strainer mechanically removes solids from flowing liquids or gases through a stainless steel screen, protecting pumps, meters, control valves and steam traps from debris, scale and rust.

It is a single-layer perforated cylinder. 60 mesh catches medium sediment ahead of control valves, solenoid valves and pilots. 100 mesh is for fine particles ahead of flow meters, fine spray nozzles and instrumentation. All three are in stock; other mesh counts can be made to order.
