A check valve only has one job: let flow go one way and stop it coming back. Which type you need depends on how the line behaves when the pump stops.<\/p>\r\n
We stock three. The swing check valve<\/strong> (316 cast stainless, ASTM A351 CF8M) has a hinged disc that opens with flow and drops shut when flow reverses. 200 WOG, PT threaded ends, 1\/2\" to 3\". The flanged check valve is the same swing principle in 304 stainless with flanged ends, rated JIS 10K \/ ANSI 150#, 2\" to 4\". The silent check valve is a one-piece compact body with an internal spring, threaded, 1\/2\" to 2\". The spring closes the disc as flow drops off, rather than waiting for the line to push it shut.<\/p>\r\nAll three are stainless steel.<\/p>\r\n
