The Y strainer \u2013 also spelled wye strainer \u2013 is the first line of defense for your pipeline equipment. This 316 stainless steel y type strainer mechanically removes solids from flowing liquids or gases through a wire mesh screen, protecting pumps, meters, control valves and steam traps from debris, scale and rust.<\/p>\n

The \u201cY\u201d shape keeps fluid resistance low while the screen traps particulates. A threaded cap gives access to the filter screen for cleaning without removing the strainer body from the line, and a blow-off plug lets you flush trapped debris without even opening the cap. PT threaded ends pair naturally with our threaded stainless steel ball valves<\/a>.<\/p>\n
