The valve body is clamped between two ferrules and the disc rotates 90\u00b0 to open or close. A pneumatic actuator sits on the top platform, bolted through four M6 or M8 holes.<\/p>\n<p>It is short, light and cheaper than a ball valve of the same size \u2014 and that is exactly what it is for. Face-to-face runs 66 to 82 mm across the whole range, so it drops into piping that has no room for a ball valve. Use it where a stuck-in-position valve is acceptable.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Spring return (SR)<\/strong> \u2014 air drives it one way, a spring returns it the other. Lose the air and the spring takes over.
